Applications of Erdi Technology's Short-Range LiDAR

In the LiDAR technology spectrum, short-range, high-precision products are a key link between "microscopic perception" and "intelligent decision-making." Erbium-based company Erbium Technology, leveraging its proprietary 1535nm erbium glass laser technology, has created representative short-range products such as the LRF0308C. With a detection range of ≤50 meters, ranging accuracy of ±1-2 meters, and a lightweight design of ≤32g, these products have deeply penetrated fields such as industrial automation and service robots, becoming core sensing units for intelligent microscopic scenarios.

In industrial automation scenarios, accurate ranging and environmental adaptability are core requirements. Erdi's LRF-1535-3K5 and other products support adjustable ranging frequencies from 1-10Hz, enabling real-time capture of material position deviations on production lines. Its ±2m accuracy meets the spacing monitoring needs of component assembly. In smart warehousing, this radar, equipped with an RS422 communication interface, can quickly provide feedback on the stacking height of goods on shelves, facilitating precise retrieval and placement with AGVs. Facing high and low temperature workshop environments ranging from -40℃ to +70℃, its vibration resistance and temperature adaptability ensure stable 24-hour operation, overcoming the pain point of traditional photoelectric sensors being susceptible to dust interference.

Service robots and special equipment are key areas for short-range radar. The LRF0308C, measuring only 48×30.5×21mm, can be seamlessly integrated into the bodies of robotic vacuum cleaners and delivery robots. It generates high-density point clouds with a low divergence angle of ≤0.6mrad, supporting SLAM algorithms to build indoor 3D maps, enabling furniture obstacle avoidance and path optimization. In special operations, its lightweight design (≤120g) is suitable for small bomb disposal robots, allowing for accurate obstacle distance measurement in narrow passages, providing operators with real-time decision-making support. Its accuracy rate (≥98%) further enhances operational safety.
