Size, weight, and power consumption must strictly comply with the carrier constraints, and the launch overload tolerance value is a "life-or-death line"; a seeker that cannot withstand the impact of missile launch will ultimately become scrap.
Specialized parameters for each system enable precise targeting. A lower NETD value for an infrared seeker allows for better detection of weak heat sources in complex environments; a laser seeker's eye-safe wavelength of 1.55μm balances combat effectiveness with personnel protection; and the band selection of a radar seeker directly balances long-range detection and short-range accuracy. The mode switching time and data fusion accuracy of a multi-mode composite seeker are core guarantees for effective anti-jamming operations.
In real-world scenarios, environmental adaptability and anti-jamming capabilities are particularly critical. A working temperature range of -40℃ to +60℃ and mechanical properties resistant to salt spray and vibration ensure stable operation of the seeker in extreme environments; performance indicators against infrared decoys and electronic interference directly determine whether the weapon system can penetrate enemy defenses. Reliability parameters such as MTBF and interface compatibility are the baseline for the equipment's sustained combat capability.
